Thing 5 - My thoughts on Library 2.0

Library 2.0, what a great concept. Now if we can just get there! I believe all library employees want to serve their customers in the best way possible. That means providing them the needed information in the format most suited to their lifestyle. In today's world that format is the web; our friend and our vehicle of delivery. Competing online information sources are stealing our customers. Especially our school-age friends. If it is on the web, it must be true! Why go to the library for old info? Our 'leg up' so to speak is our reputation for providing reliable and timely information. They have to know our information provided is spot on. No guess work involved. This reputation can follow us to the web. We have a built in clientele - let's grab them and keep them. Must get back to work, more thoughts later . . .
